Music Teacher and Director Theresa Jones-Heintz

Registered Music Together Teacher and Director
Theresa Jones-Heintz

Theresa has worked as a teacher for more than 15 years and holds a Bachelor's in Music Education from the University of Arizona and a Master's in Education from UCSC. She not only teaches Music Together classes, but also teaches 1st-5th grade general music in the Dublin Unified School district.

Theresa's work revolves around teaching children and helping families understand how children learn best (different ways for different children). As an advocate for music education, she specializes in using music, dance and rhythm to teach and inspire.

Theresa began teaching general music in Arizona while earning her Bachelor's degree. After graduating, Theresa moved to California where she taught elementary and middle school band, jazz band and choir in public schools. She later returned to school to earn her Master's. Theresa taught fourth grade and kindergarten in Oakland until moving to Hayward and having her beautiful daughter (now 2).

Since becoming a mother, Theresa has honed her skills in early childhood music instruction by teaching, observing, and collaborating with teachers and music professionals in nearby cities. Theresa is very excited to start an early childhood program in the Hayward/Castro Valley area, because she lives here and is an active part of this community.

Theresa is extremely dedicated to the Eden Area and Hayward. She has participated in community groups and is also an active member of the Castro Valley Mother's club, an organization dedicated to helping mothers through networking, playgroups and activities. Theresa and her family reside in the Fairview Area in Hayward.

Music Teacher Riki Juster

Registered Music Together Teacher
Riki Juster

Riki Juster is thrilled to be teaching Music Together and begin as a teacher with Early Start Music!

Riki spent her early childhood living in Long Island in New York and was lucky enough to have been taken to Broadway shows and operas at the Met at quite an early age.

Her mother was a voice teacher and both her parents performed in musical theater. Singing at home or in the car was second nature.

At age 11, her parents decided to move the family (and the Baldwin piano) to Israel. Upon leaving her parents home, Riki served with the Israel Defense Force and then lived on a kibbutz for 4 years where she worked as the head childcare giver at daycare center. At the same time, she studied Education at Haifa University for 2 years. In 1999, Riki returned to the US and chose the wonderful Bay Area as her new home base.

She managed large scale events such as KFOG Kaboom! And the ESPN X-Games. A few years later, she decided to try her hand at childcare once again.

Riki says "I first experienced Music Together when caring for two toddlers and immediately fell in love with the program. I was having just as much fun as they were, if not more! I knew that by teaching Music Together classes, I would be combining two of my greatest passions and hopefully make a difference in children's lives through movement and music."
